2.1.1 Inputs

For each DMA:

• NI number of inflow time series with hourly data: inflow time series 1, inflow time series 2, etc.
• NO number of outflow time series with hourly data: outflow time series 1, outflow time series 2, etc.

• Output: L/s

2.1.3 Formulas

• \(SIV(hourly)= \sum_{i=1}^{NI}inflow_{i}(hour)-\sum_{o=0}^{NO}outflow_{o}(hour)\)
• \(SIV \left(daily\right)=\frac{\sum_{hour=1}^{24}SIV \left(hour\right)}{24}\)

2.1.4 Aggregations over regional zones

• Sum, both hourly and daily.

2.1.5 Notes

• DMAs may exist without any outflow time series.
• Another common input unit is m3/h. Here, it is expected that all inputs are in L/s and converted somewhere else.
• Commonly time series may have finer resolutions than hourly. We expect that this is converted somewhere else.
